Meet Dr. Negin Taghizadeh

Dr. Negin “Nikki” Taghizadeh is a board-eligible periodontist who grew up in South Florida. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine before completing her residency training in Periodontics at Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine, where she received extensive training in periodontal conditions, treatment, and implant surgery.

Dr. Taghizadeh’s passion for Periodontics grew from her appreciation for the connection between oral health, overall well-being, and a patient’s confidence in their smile. She believes that transparency and open communication always come first. She understands that visiting a periodontist can sometimes feel overwhelming, and she takes particular pride in helping patients feel comfortable and at ease, especially those who may be nervous about periodontal or surgical treatment.

Her calm and attentive approach allows her to take the time to truly listen to each patient’s concerns, answer their questions, and understand their individual goals. She believes patients should understand not only what treatment is being recommended, but also why it is recommended and what they can expect throughout the process. With meticulous attention to detail, she develops personalized treatment plans designed around each patient’s individual needs.

Above all, Dr. Taghizadeh strives to create a comfortable and trusting environment where patients feel heard, informed, and confident in their care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Taghizadeh enjoys making the most of life in New York City. She loves exploring the city’s food scene, attending ballet performances and musicals, and, most importantly, spending time with her family and friends. At home, she enjoys life with her boyfriend and their two cats.
