Dr. Cynthia Kuang

Cynthia Kuang, D.D.S., R.N., is a periodontist whose dual training in nursing and dentistry provides an exceptional foundation for the comprehensive management of medically complex patients.

Dr. Kuang completed her three-year residency in Periodontics at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health, where she received advanced training in surgical periodontics, regenerative therapy, and dental implantology. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine and was recognized with awards for clinical excellence and humanitarian service. Dr. Kuang also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bryn Mawr College, graduating magna cum laude with academic distinction.

Before pursuing dentistry, Dr. Kuang practiced as a registered nurse in cardiothoracic, vascular, and orthopedic surgery at leading hospitals in New York City. Her critical care experience enhances her ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary medical teams and deliver periodontal care that optimizes both oral and systemic health outcomes.

Dr. Kuang is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese and maintains active membership in the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and American Nurses Association.
