Dr. Cynthia Kuang

Dr. Kuang is a board-certified periodontist dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. Trained as a registered nurse and dentist, she values a collaborative approach that recognizes the important connection between oral health and overall systemic wellness.

Dr. Kuang earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine before completing her residency in Periodontics at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health, where she received advanced specialty training in periodontal regeneration, mucogingival surgery, and dental implant therapy. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University, where she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College, graduating magna cum laude. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a distinction recognizing the highest standards of clinical expertise, knowledge, and commitment to excellence in periodontics.

She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese, and maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the American Nurses Association.
